about us...

we are ordinary people who have seen extraordinary things. it is our heart's desire to share the stories of our extraordinary friends. stories of loss and hope. stories of hunger and plenty. stories of faith and doubt. as a band, the friends we have made in zambia and zimbabwe have changed the course of our lives. our faith has been shaken and reshaped. our hunger for justice has been challenged and reformed.our sense of hope has been tested and renewed. we write songs and play music to tell stories, and our prayer is that you will experience some of what we have been so blessed to experience through listening to our music. we are committed to more than half the income from sales of our music going directly into work on the ground in zambia and zimbabwe... and any other places of need which arise.

we are committed to serving the poorest of the poor... the orphan, the widow, the marginalised and the oppressed. we are committed to standing beside our brothers and sisters in need and doing all we can with the gifts in our hands. thank you for standing with us. may you too find yourself challenged, reshaped and renewed.

what we do

remember seven have a message they want the world to hear. we have too much stuff. and we've met a bunch of people who don't have enough stuff. we think we can do something about that with the help of the thousands of people who are going to hear our story. people like you.
we would love everyone we meet to buy our cd so that we can continue to fund some exciting and life-changing projects for children in zambia and zimbabwe, but we also would love everyone we meet to understand that buying a cd should not be their only response to poverty.
we are christians who are only just beginning to understand that when Jesus said "it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." he was perhaps talking about us. we are being challenged to give up a lot of our stuff. and that's not always easy.
we spend our sundays travelling to churches all over our home city. people graciously invite us to share about what we have seen and done. we are committed to continuing to tell our stories to anyone who will listen. we write songs about real people and real experiences. their stories have changed our lives and we would love it if they changed your life too.

mwandi ovc centre - www.mwandiovc.com
ovc

this project began as a feeding project for orphans and vulnerable children in the village of mwandi, zambia. under the leadership of fiona dixon-thompson, it has grown into a holistic project supporting the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children who would otherwise be forgotten. approximately 250 (although this number is ever-increasing) children are fed by the project each day, but hundreds more are being supported through educational funding, or provision of other physical needs (clothing, housing etc). fiona and her husband rury have also developed an agriculture project, with goals of eventually making the project fully self-sustainable. they have built a sewing centre and are now running sewing classes, empowering people with the necessary skills to start small businesses and increase industry in mwandi. shortly, construction of a carpentry centre will commence to provide similar empowerment for other men and women in this area. remember seven visited this project for 3 weeks in february 2009 and can testify to the amazing work that is happening there. there are many more children and families who desperately need the support of this project and we are proud to stand with fiona and her team in our desire to see many more lives changed as a result of this amazing work.

ZOCS, bissell farm - www.zocs.org.zm

zambian open community schools is a fantastic organisation supporting communities in their development of educational opportunities for orphaned and vulnerable children. one of these community schools is bissell farm (situated just outside of lusaka, zambia). remember seven had the privilege of spending a day with students and teachers at this school in march 2009. the school, although functioning, is incredibly under-resourced. staff routinely go without pay and have to travel long distances to the school due to the lack of teacher accommodation. it is our hope to raise enough money through sales of our cd to be able to finance much needed building upgrades at this school, as well as provide new resources for learning. the most vulnerable of children attend this school, and ZOCS have identified it as one of their schools in the most need of help. we are greatly anticipating the day we get to return to this school and begin to see it become all that they dream it will become.

isaiah's home of love - www.isaiahshomeoflove.org

isaiah's is a home for orphaned and abandoned babies in bulawayo, zimbabwe. kt visited this project for 5 weeks at the end of 2008 and was hugely moved by the work happening in that place. there are several offshoots from this project which include homes for abandoned and orphaned children and street kids, and a soup kitchen which caters to the ever-increasing physical needs of the bulawayo community. martin barrow heads up a dedicated staff (both paid and volunteer) who are committed to bringing life and light to the hardest of situations. remember seven are committed to sowing into the work of this project by providing funds to buy resources for the babies home and to pay staff working with these precious babies. there is no doubt that without the existence of this project, many babies would not be with us today in healthy, happy homes with hope for their future.
